Media Isolated Pressure Sensor
The AST4000 is a low cost, high quality all stainless steel media
isolated Pressure Sensor intended for use in the measurement of
gases and liquids compatible with stainless steel. The AST4000 is
suitable for automotive diagnostics tools, industrial, refrigeration,
hydraulics, pneumatics and data loggers. The AST4000 has been designed
specifically for the applications with demanding price and performance
requirements.
The competitively priced AST4000 offers millivolt and high level
output. The high strength stainless steel construction contains
no silicone oil, no welds and no internal "O" rings. Measurements
are available in gauge pressure covering ranges up to 10,000 PSI.
The AST4000 is ideal for applications needing high accuracy, excellent
long-term stability, trouble free operation, long life and high
performance. The AST4000 is backed by AST's one-year warranty.
OPTIONS AND SPECIALS
The AST4000 is available with an output of 10mV/V, 0.5-4.5
V ratiometric, 1-5V, 1-6V, .25-5V, or 4-20mA.
The AST4000 can be purchased with a variety of pressure
ports.
For those applications that require unique pressure connections,
calibration, temperature compensation or electrical connections, AST,
Inc. will design and build to the customer's specifications.
APPLICATIONS
The AST4000 has features that make it suitable for use
in a wide variety of applications. High vibrations, shock and and
temperature extremes all of which the AST4000 can handle characterize
many of these applications.
Some of AST4000 applications include Industrial OEM Equipment,
Diagnostic Tools, Hydraulic Systems, Refrigeration and Data Logging.
PACKAGING
The AST4000 wetted parts are made from 17-4 PH Stainless
Steel which promotes long life and resistance to media corrosion.
This high strength stainless steel construction also promotes good
overrange and burst protection.
The AST4000 sensing element is designed for flexible housings.
